Live from the Lab:

How using a Flex Prep can replace your manual pipetting steps

Live Webinar

Monday, September 30

2:00 PM EST/11:00 AM PST/7:00 PM BST

With Flex Prep and our new Quick Transfer software, you can develop, visualize and run pipetting tasks in as little as a minute, all on the touchscreen. It’s faster than a manual pipette and you can walk away to set up the next step in your experiment while Flex Prep completes your pipetting.

This webinar will include a live demonstration of the Quick Transfer software to complete common pipetting tasks, including reformatting samples, adding reagents to a plate and plate stamping from a 96-well to a 384-well plate. We will also demonstrate other new capabilities including how to instantly upload a .csv file to specify irregular pipetting tasks such as normalizing concentrations or cherry picking samples.

Lastly, our experts will demonstrate resources for writing more complex multi-step protocols, or downloading verified protocols from the Opentrons Protocol Library.

Sign up for this webinar to learn:
  • How to seamlessly move between a manual pipette and a Flex Prep for individual experiment steps
  • The types of tasks that a Flex Prep with Quick Transfer software can complete with only seconds of touchscreen setup
  • How to use the upload feature to add different volumes or pick from selected wells specified in a .csv file
Who should join:
  • Anybody who uses a manual pipette and would like an assistant to complete their pipetting steps while they look ahead in their protocol
  • Anybody who routinely has to pipette complicated patterns, for example to/from select wells, or changing volumes between wells
  • Anybody who wants to start with simple automation of individual pipetting tasks, but have the option to automate entire experiments in the future
